Above: The console needed to be referred because paint was scratched and the brushed aluminum parts were dinged up and scratched also. Above is the original console plates as well as the pictures showing the aluminum plates removed.
Above: After the old glue was removed from the plate areas, I masked off the entire console and then, as seen above, sprayed 4-6 light coats of interior Red paint on to the surfaces.

Above: The new ash tray slider in place along with the shift pattern plate and the aluminum center cover. Each piece had 3M glue already applied but the large plate needed spray spray adhesive also to get it to stay down in place.
Above: Here's the finished product back in the car. This little refurb cleans up the interior nicely. The whole job probably took about 3 hours to remove the console, strip the aluminum plates off, clean the glue off, mask, paint and reassembly the console, then put it back into the car. I took my time in 2 days to allow significant time for the paint to dry between sprayings and reassembly.
